Booze 101: A complete crash course in all things alcohol; beer, wine, and distilled spirits.
3 one-hour-and-fifteen-minute sessions to be scheduled in 2021.
Classes will focus on the fundamentals of fermentation, distillation, and how those processes connect everything we sip and swig. This is beneficial for anyone who wants to truly understand the process behind the things we drink; from professionals to aficionados.
Classes will cover:
fermentation
my method of "The Four Questions" to help easily understand the similarities and differences in all of the alcohol we drink
the beer brewing process
basic beer styles and how they're made
fundamentals of wine
how to taste any wine; from boxes to bottles, using my super simple (non-pretentious) method
alcohol distillation
the similarities and differences in all major distilled spirit categories
basics of cordials, Amari, bitters, and vermouths
This 3-session class is $325 for an individual (or screen), +$50 for each additional person or screen. Smaller groups of 5 or less helps to keep an open dialogue and to answer all of your questions. All students will receive a recording of each of their 3 classes.
